About Me

Kate Dziewinski is a junior at Downers Grove South. She is a passionate journalist and has been involved in the school's newspaper, The Blueprint, for two years. Last year she qualified for the IHSA Journalism state competition in sports writing. Dziewinski is also involved in Athletes Committed to Excellence, PE leaders, MustangWay Access Leader, Bluecrew, National Honors Society, National French Honors Society, Superfans, BluePrint, Girls Cross Country, IHSA DGS Journalism Team, French Peer Tutor, English Peer Tutor, and Journalism Mentor.

When Dziewinski is not working on a story, she enjoys running cross country, lifting, watching sports, cooking, hanging out with friends and listening to music. Dziewinski also works at the local Starbucks, babysits and works for a hair salon as a hair assistant.

Dziewinski has two brothers, Dylan and Evan, two cats, Gumby and Lightning, and a dog named Goose. Her favorite type of music is Country music. Dziewinski also completed a mentorship program through Nebraska University CoJMC.

When she is older she is hoping to become a sports host/broadcaster/journalist.
